Falcon Counter-UAV System

Overview

The Falcon (Hai Dongqing) Counter-UAV System, independently developed by Lakeda Radar, represents a new generation of UAV defense technology.
It integrates radar detection, radio frequency (RF) monitoring, EO (electro-optical) tracking, spectrum jamming, and GNSS spoofing to form a closed-loop defense chain — from detection to neutralization. The system is ideal for protecting critical sites such as military bases, government facilities, and vital infrastructure, ensuring reliable defense against a wide range of UAV threats.

Features

  • Multi-sensor fusion: Combines radar, RF detection, and EO tracking for high detection accuracy.
  • Closed-loop operation: From detection to countermeasure in one integrated workflow.
  • GNSS spoofing & jamming: Effective against conventional and unconventional UAVs.
  • High adaptability: Operates in fog, rain, and snow, with strong environmental resilience.
  • Flexible modes: Manual and automatic operation, with configurable response schemes.
  • Scalable & customizable: Frequency bands and power output can be tailored to mission requirements.

Subsystems

The Falcon system consists of detection and countermeasure components:

Detection

  • Spectrum Monitoring
Passive RF detection with >5 km range; receives and analyzes UAV communication signals without active emissions, minimizing exposure.

  • Radar Detection
X-band phased array radar capable of detecting UAVs at ≥5 km, pedestrians at ≥8 km, vehicles at ≥10 km, and vessels at ≥15 km. High angular accuracy with real-time scanning.

  • EO Tracking
AI-powered optical/thermal imaging with multi-target recognition and tracking.

    • Visible-light camera: ≥5 km detection, ≥3 km identification
    • Thermal imager: ≥1.5 km detection, ≥1 km recognition

Countermeasures

  • Spectrum Jamming
Emits blocking signals across multiple UAV control and video downlink bands (410 MHz – 6.2 GHz). Effective range ≤3 km.

  • GNSS Spoofing
Generates simulated navigation signals (GPS/Galileo/GLONASS/BeiDou). Effective radius 500–1000 m (customizable).

Control & Integration

  • Centralized controller and management software.
  • Real-time GIS mapping with black/white list management.
  • Supports manual or automatic defense responses, including automatic countermeasure activation once a threat is confirmed.
