the Owl Anti-UAV Defense System (hereinafter referred to as “OWL System”) is a UAV defense system specially developed for maintaining the security of important areas. By building a multi-level protection network, the system can implement strict surveillance, effective interference, and intelligent guidance of UAVs in the prevention and control area, ensuring that no illegal UAV can approach the core protection area.

The core mission of the OWL anti-drone defense system is to ensure the efficient and precise management of drone activities to maintain the security of specific areas or critical assets.

The system integrates precise detection, identification, tracking, and disposal technologies to quickly respond, accurately determine, and effectively deter any drones that try to intrude into the no-fly zone, thus building an impregnable air safety net.

System Composition

The construction goal of the anti-UAV system is to realize the effective detection, identification, control, and jamming of UAVs through the comprehensive use of:

  • Radar detection module ×1
  • Spoofing module ×1
  • Jamming module ×4
  • Servo turntable
  • Data transmission/jamming power box
  • External full-band spectrum analysis equipment ×1 (optional)

Radar detection and tracking: Achieves all-weather, long-distance detection and tracking of UAVs, providing position, speed, altitude, and other parameters.

Spectrum analysis (optional): Covers 20MHz–6GHz, identifies communication frequency bands and protocols of UAVs.

Spoofing technology: Transmits virtual satellite navigation signals (radius adjustable 500–1000m). Customizable frequency/power.

Jamming technology: Emits signals to disrupt UAV control/navigation, forcing loss of control or landing.

System Advantages

UAV detection function: Combination of spectrum detection and radar active/passive detection.

  1. Spectrum detection (optional):

    • Covers 70MHz–6GHz
    • Detects mainstream UAVs within >5km radius
    • Low false alarms, high concealment
    • Limitation: detects direction only
  2. Radar detection:

    • Effective for FPV drones
    • Long detection distance, provides location
    • Limitation: only moving targets, higher false alarm rate
  3. Combined detection:

UAV countermeasure function: Navigation spoofing + radio suppression jamming.

  1. Navigation spoofing: Interferes with UAV GPS navigation, causes deviation or malfunction.
  2. Radio suppression: Blocks UAV control/data links, forcing landing or hovering.
  3. Combined countermeasures: Spoofing + jamming within 1km radius ensures immediate UAV landing/hover.
  4. Configurable modes: Forced landing, expulsion, hover.

Defensive Areas

Different protective zones can be built:

  • Detection and early warning area:
    Spectrum detection, radius 5km. High concealment.

  • Detection and alarm area:
    Spectrum + radar, radius 1.5km. Detects FPV & conventional UAVs.

  • Disposal warning area:
    Jamming radius 1km. Forces UAVs into landing/hover mode.

  • Disposal core area:
    Radius 500m. Jamming + spoofing ensures immediate UAV landing/hover.
